Kappil Beach, Bekal, Kerala.
Kappil Beach is the ideal getaway for some quiet me-time and to enjoy the beauty of nature — sparkling sands, sapphire sea and the soothing green of the casuarina groves.
The Kodi Cliff nearby offers a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea and 2 km away is the Pallikunnam Temple. The beach is situated about 6 km from Bekal Fort. The beach is one of the cleanest and unpolluted beaches of Kerala.
And, what makes it even more attractive is that it is one of Kerala’s cleanest and least polluted beaches.
Do hike up the Kodi Cliff nearby to enjoy some glorious views of the horizon. The gleaming waters of the Arabian Sea stretch out for miles in front of you. This imposing cliff looks as if it is rising out of the sea. Kodi Cliff is two kilometres from the Pallikunnan Temple.
Thing to do.
The real joy at Kappil is the backwater ride that is through boats. Boat Ride is one of the major activities in Kappil and you’ll get plenty of mini-sized and medium-sized ferryboats carrying a large number of passengers. Going into the waters on a shaky boat ride is worth to spend a penny. Besides, one can go for a leisurely walk from the beach to the cliff at Varkala. There are numerous trekking trials that make this place a heaven for adventure enthusiasts.
Apart from all the above beach activities, you can also indulge in shopping as there are plenty of shops where you can get many things at reasonable rates. Along with this, there are many food stalls and eating joints across the length of the beach, where you can get tasty Indian snacks and savories.
