If you are planning your trip to Goa on January, there is a huge possibility that the period of your vocations will coincides with The Three King’s Feast, which is celebrated here on January 6. So, if you are the lucky one person to come to Goa before this festival, be sure that you will have amazing opportunity to watch one of the brightest and most colorful festivals celebrated by local citizens of neighboring Villages of Cansaulim, Arossim and Quelem.
Like all beaches on this amazing, beautiful endless South Goa coastline of the Indian Ocean, Arossim Beach also has dazzling white sand, green dense palm trees and colorful fishing boats which are like slowly and peacefully dancing among the ocean waves. The landscape is supplemented with few houses and shops and lonely hiding in the shadow of mighty trees „The Star Fish” shack restaurant located in the very center of the beach.
Around Arossim you may get to see the cute little Pratincoles or the Small Indian Pratincoles, a small wader bird. They get to breed on the sandy shores of rivers or by the sea. It’s an utterly delightful experience to be able to see these little birds nesting half buried in the sands of Arossim!
From Arossim Beach tourists can also visit the sixteenth century Church of Sao Tome (St. Thomas the Apostle) and the Cansaulim Church. There is a difference of opinion as to when the church was built but that it was rebuilt in 1632 is certain. Here, the Feast of the three Magi is celebrated with great pomp and show. The nights are quieter here, so if you intend to go partying you will have to be on the lookout for other options towards the north. Shop, indulge in Goan culinary experience and head back home to the calm surroundings of Arossim!.
